Microvisor - Two Amazing Solutions For Microwave Over The Range
MICROVISOR® manufactures two extension hood models, both designed to attach to a microwave over the range and improve the exhaust function of the microwave.
The MICROVISOR® REMOVABLE hood system installs quickly with patented bracket that utilizes the factory chassis screw pattern. The attaching bracket is installed quickly and easily due to our patented design which allows for quick screw alignment. Remove a few of the factory screws and replace them with the ones in the kit, follow the instructions guide. Once the bracket is installed, the hood portion slides into the bracket, and is secured with our security pin. Microvisor Removable Hood can be left permanently installed and or removed when needed for storage. The projection from the face of the microwave oven is approx. 6 1/2 inches. Installation with screw driver is all that is needed.
The MICROVISOR® RETRACTABLE hood system installs quickly with patented bracket frame that utilizes the factory chassis screw pattern. The attaching bracket/frame is installed quickly and easily due to our patented design which allows for quick screw alignment. Once the bracket/frame is installed, the hood portion can be extended for use, and retracted when not in use. The projection from the face of the microwave oven is aprrox. 6 1/2 inches. MICROVISOR® products capture the smoke, grease and odors and redirect them to your microwaves exhaust. The MICROVISOR® products do not require electric or have any motors or filters. Your microwave provides all those components, we just help it to perform better.
No power source is needed for the MICROVISOR® to work. We have no electrical components, motors, fans or lighting requirements. Our hood captures and directs the grease and odors to the exhaust from your current microwave over the range.

The two models available, MICROVISOR® -Removable OR Retractable, are both is 29-7/8 inches wide, 1 inch high at the front and 1-1/2 inches high at the back of the hood. It is 6-1/2 inches deep (front to back) , and projects forward of the microwave 6-1/2 inches.

Samsung Microwave Center Filter Adapter – for Samsung model #ME21M706BAG
This is intended for use with the MICROVISOR® Mini Hood to attach to Samsung microwaves that have a center pull out grease filter only.
MICROVISOR® – Samsung Microwave Center Filter Adapter. This is for the Samsung model ME21M706BAG or any Samsung MOR that has a “center slide in/out grease filter”. See picture below for verification of this model. If your MOR does not have a center grease filter or does not match the image showing the bottom panel of the microwave here, you do not need this kit. See picture of Samsung with center grease filter for identification.
GE Spacemaker Adapter for curve/convex door
The GE Spacemaker Adapter is for use with microwaves that have a “door” or frame with a curved bottom, models: Model #:JVM1850DMBB//WW//SS//BS
See image below for curved bottom frame/door to confirm your model. If your MOR does not have a curved door or frame, you do not need this kit.

The Microvisor - Removable product can be removed and stored as often as needed, and re-attached as the mounting hardware stays installed, and the hood can be inserted and removed as needed.
The Microvisor - Retractable product has a frame that is more permanent, but can be removed when needed. The Retracting hood can be removed easily for cleaning.

Yes, the MICROVISOR® mini hood can be used with all models of microwaves over the range. Installing our adapter kit in conjunction with the mounting bracket solves that problem. They can be purchased from our website in the shopping cart. Adapter kits are only needed for two units sold in the market today. If you do not have either of the two units listed below, you do not need a spacer kit.
Purchase the GE Adapter Kit - For use with microwaves that have a door with a curved bottom, and or any microwave with an irregular bottom panel that projects below the bottom of the microwave oven. Download GE Adapter Instructions
Samsung Center Filter Adapter - only needed for Samsung microwave with “center-slide forward grease filter”. If your Samsung does not have a center slide in/out grease filter, you do not need this adapter kit. Samsung units with two grease filters, 1 on left and one on right do not require this spacer kit.. Unfortunately not, since our MICROVISOR® mini hoods are pre-boxed individually with safety foam for shipping and can not be doubled up.
MICROVISOR® manufactures a line of hood extensions designed to attach to a microwave over the range(OTR), and improve the exhaust functionality of the microwave. It was designed to complete the intended exhaust operation of the microwave over the range.
The intended use of the microwave over the range was to utilize cabinet space by incorporating an exhaust system/secondary heating source, and installing it in place of a more expensive exhaust hood. Microwaves over the range are approximately 15 inches deep, and all cook-tops/ranges are normally 26 inches deep. It is virtually impossible for an OTR microwave to exhaust the fumes from cooking on the front burners, due to it's design, and lack of CFM of airflow needed.
The MICROVISOR® projects forward of the microwave oven in order to capture the smoke, grease and odors. The Microvisor design that attaches to the microwave chassis in minutes. The MICROVISOR® is simply inserted into the bracket and removed by pulling it out when needed/or retracts based on model type.
