The MICROVISOR® Retractable extension hood is installed beneath the microwave chassis in just a few minutes with our patented bracket and adjustable rear leveling supports to provide improved exhaust functionality. Retractable design provides the extra coverage when needed and retracts when not in use.  The black frame, and hood of your choice, one of four colors will blend perfectly with your microwave finish.  Our sleek and modern design will boost the look of your microwave over the range and improve the exhaust function!  Our hood extension redirects the cooking contaminants to your microwaves exhaust instead of escaping into your home.  Entire unit/or just the hood can be removed in minutes when needed for cleaning.

The MICROVISOR® Retractable extension hood RB30 is designed to attach to a microwave over the range, in order to provide improved exhaust functionality. Available in stainless steel, black, white and black stainless. The microwave over the range is 15 inches deep and cook-tops/ranges are a minimum of 26 inches deep, and it is virtually impossible to effectively exhaust the fumes from the front burners.

MICROVISOR captures steam, grease, smoke and odors by creating a capture zone.  MICROVISOR®  is 29-¾ inches wide, 1-inch high at the front, and 1 -¼ inches high at the back.  When extended the hood projects forward of the microwave oven by 6.5 inches.   The Retractable installs easily in less than 10 minutes.  MICROVISOR improves venting of smoke, grease and odors, aids in stopping the accumulation of grease on furniture/cabinets by funneling cooking by products back into the exhaust system of your OTR. The Retractable does not require any electrical connections, or filters.

****This hood is designed to fit the standard 30-inch microwave over the range.  This hood is not recommended for use when clearance between the cooktop surface and the bottom of the microwave over the range is less than 20 inches, as this model (RB30) installs beneath the microwave chassis.  If you have less then 20 inches of clearance between the cooking surface and microwave OTR chassis please defer to our removable unit, the SB30 model. ****

****Due to the design and retractable nature of the RB30 model, the light housing and filter inlets can be blocked when the hood is in retracted position.  The hood must be extended in order to ensure proper exhaust ventilation, as well as additional light coverage.****
